English and Maths at Newham College

Whatever your aspirations – employment, apprenticeship, university – you need to have good English and maths skills to progress on your chosen academic or career pathway. 

Most businesses and educational institutions will require you to have qualifications in English and Maths of a good standard – at least a grade 4 or above. Our courses lead to a recognised qualification, either Functional Skills or GCSEs. We also offer funded maths and English courses from beginner to advanced. They will help you improve your confidence and gain a qualification.
