The study programme includes:
You will be taught through classroom activities and presentation.
You will complete an Ascentis ESOL qualification in Speaking and Listening, Reading and Writing and Edexcel Pearson qualifications in Functional Skills Maths and Functional Skills ICT.
The Young ESOL study programme is designed for students aged 16-18 and is suitable for non-native speakers of English who would like to improve their English skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening
This is a full-time programme and courses are offered from Pre-Entry Level to Level 1.

The ESOLY department works closely with many vocational areas including Health and Social Care, Engineering, Construction, Fashion and Tailoring, Catering and Hospitality, Digital Skills and IT, Travel and Tourism, and Childcare. After successful completion of the Young ESOL study programme, you can progress to one of these vocational areas, Pre-access or Access.
