About the course

This qualification equips people, with high levels of language skills in both their first language and English to undertake interpreting work in public service settings.

Why study with us

Are you interested in becoming an interpreter? Are you currently supporting and assisting people as an interpreter but would like a formal qualification? Do you wish to further your knowledge in this area and enhance your skills as an interpreter. Then this is the course for you.

Entry requirements

You need a good level of language in both your first language (or chosen language and English. You need to have some experience however informal of interpreting. You need commitment and an ability to attend all sessions. You can attend the level 1 or Level 2 first if required. You will talk to a teacher when you apply and will be advised and placed appropriately.

How much will this course cost?

The course will be free if you meet the eligibility criteria. You will be fully advised before you start the course.

Progression

You can work as a paid Interpreter at level 3 but can choose to continue your studies at Level 4 and above.
