About the course

Start your journey into the care sector with this practical Level 1 course in Health and Social Care. You’ll gain an introduction to how care services operate and develop the skills needed to support adults and young people in a range of health and social care settings. The course combines theory and practical learning to help you build confidence, communication skills and an understanding of the values that underpin effective care.

• Be assessed through coursework, observations and written assignments – there are no formal exams
• Take part in enrichment activities such as workshops, debates and community projects
• Receive one-to-one tutorial support and set personal learning targets with your course tutor
• Access support from our SEN team to help you succeed and stay motivated
• Prepare for progression to a Level 2 qualification or an apprenticeship in Health and Social Care
