Engineering Level 2 (Adults)
About the course
You will be introduced to a range of engineering aspects including interpreting and using engineering information, marking out techniques, machining processes, electronic circuit design and construction, computer aided drawing techniques, engineering mathematics, electrical and mechanical sciences.
There will be a focus on English and Maths and working safely while developing your practical skills and knowledge of the tools, equipment, principles and processes used in the engineering industry.
This course aims to develop each individual student’s potential – we will help you develop your individual skills and abilities and help you confirm your future ambitions. You will learn the theoretical and practical skills of working in the workshop and electronics lab. You will also gain knowledge in engineering principles and applications as well as work experience skills.

A minimum of 4 GCSEs grades 9-3 that includes: o English grade 3 o Math’s at grade 3

Progression
Provided you fulfil all of the course requirements, you may be able to progress onto a Level 3 engineering course such as electrical, electronic and mechanical engineering, aeronautical engineering, electrical installation or an advanced apprenticeship.
