This full-time course will focus on the development of your skills in English, Maths and IT.
On this course you will work independently in addition to working in groups on projects. You will also make presentations to the rest of the class.
You will have one hour of tutorial per week and participate in enrichment activities at Newham College.
If English is your second language and you have been learning to read, write and speak English at school in your country, then this course may be right for you. This full-time course aims to develop your writing, reading and speaking skills and prepare you for further study and work. You will also improve your maths and computing skills too.
There are no formal entry requirements for this course but you must be 16-18 years of age. You will be given an initial assessment at your interview to look at your level of English. This will help us to put you into the right class.
This course is free for 16-18 year olds.
When you have successfully completed the ESOL course at Entry 2, you will be able to progress to Entry 3 course or to another course of your choice at Newham College.
