About the course

Prepare for an exciting career in the aviation and travel industry with this Level 2 Cabin Crew course. You’ll gain the professional skills, confidence and safety awareness needed to work as part of an airline cabin crew team while developing your understanding of customer care, in-flight service and emergency procedures.

During the course, you’ll explore topics such as:

  • Working as part of a cabin crew team
  • Airline health, safety and security procedures
  • Managing aircraft emergency situations
  • Delivering excellent passenger service on board
  • Cabin service and in-flight sales techniques
  • Making professional passenger announcements
  • Employment rights and responsibilities in passenger transport

You’ll also have the opportunity to:

  • Experience realistic in-flight training using simulated aircraft environments
  • Develop communication and teamwork skills essential for the aviation industry
  • Take part in visits to airports and airline training centres
  • Gain insight from guest speakers currently working in the sector

Entry requirements

  • GCSE profile: Minimum 4 GCSEs at grades 9–3 (or equivalent), including English and maths at grade 3 or above; or successful completion of a related Level 1 qualification.
  • Initial assessment and interview: You’ll complete an English and maths assessment and take part in an interview to confirm the right starting level for your study programme.
  • English and maths during your course: If you haven’t yet achieved grade 4 in English and/or maths, you’ll continue studying these alongside your main qualification.
  • Suitability: Positive attitude to learning, regular attendance, and the ability to work safely and professionally with others.
  • Placement checks (if required): For courses that include a work placement, a DBS check may be required by the placement provider.
  • Strong communication skills and professional presentation.

This course is free for students aged 16-18. The course fee for adults is £TBC.
