Newham College holds the Matrix accreditation, in recognition of our high standards of information, advice and guidance. Our qualified careers advisers can help you explore your options and provide you with expert and impartial advice and guidance to achieve your career and educational goals.
Our careers provision is in line with the Gatsby Benchmarks and our careers programme will develop six learning areas, as described in the Careers Development Framework.

Higher Education
Our learners have secured places to top Russell Group universities including Oxford, King’s College London, UCL and Birmingham University.
The Careers Team will support learners with their applications by:

Employer Networks
We have strong links with employers, giving our learners the opportunity to develop employability skills, networking and experiences of the world of work. Some of the employers we work with include, British Airways, KPMG, Societe Generale, WATES Group, Bouygues, HMRC and ASOS.
We have partnered with East London Business Alliance (ELBA) who build connections with local businesses and create opportunities for our learners. They will help our learners to develop seven employability skills while studying with us.

Events
Our careers events are designed to help learners engage with employers and recruiters, as well as find our about other vocational and education options. Some of our events include a Careers Fair, Enterprise Week, Apprenticeships Week and STEM week.
Evolve
We have gone digital. Log into our interactive Moodle Page to access up to date careers and employability resources. On our Moodle Page, you will have access to live vacancies, information on Higher Education and UCAS, download resources and much more.
