Course content

Take your skills in Beauty Therapy to the next level with this hands-on Level 2 course. You’ll build confidence and professional ability in a range of treatments while developing the knowledge and client-care skills needed to work in a salon, spa or beauty setting. The course prepares you for employment or progression to a Level 3 qualification in Beauty Therapy or related areas.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE profile: Minimum 4 GCSEs at grades 9–3 (or equivalent), including English and maths at grade 3 or above; or successful completion of a related Level 1 qualification.
  • Initial assessment and interview: You’ll complete an English and maths assessment and take part in an interview to confirm the right starting level for your study programme.
  • English and maths during your course: If you haven’t yet achieved grade 4 in English and/or maths, you’ll continue studying these alongside your main qualification.
  • Suitability: Positive attitude to learning, regular attendance, and the ability to work safely and professionally with others.
  • Placement checks (if required): For courses that include a work placement, a DBS check may be required by the placement provider.
  • Commitment to client care and professional image; a kit/uniform may be required.
