You will need to have passed a Level 2 initial assessment or to have successfully completed a Level 2 Functional Skills in English qualification.
You will study a range of reading and writing techniques designed to challenge your understanding of written English. You will also develop your vocabulary and ability to think critically. Both of these skills will improve your writing capability.
This course is designed to develop confidence and competence through tasks and assessments in speaking and listening, reading and writing.
There will be activities designed to improve your grammar, spelling and punctuation, encourage active reading and develop your ability to write for different audiences and purposes.
GCSE English is a widely recognised qualification and is a key requirement for many job roles or to progress to further study in higher education so adding this qualifcation to your CV is essential for future success.

This course is free if you have not already achieved a grade 4(C) or above in GCSE English.
On completion of this course, you could pursue further study in further education or higher education, or opt for employment.
