About the course

This course is progression for learners who have completed Level 1 Fashion course or have equivalent experience. The study programme is designed to support learners to develop their skills in garment construction and pattern cutting.

You’ll also have an opportunity to deepen your appreciation of the industry and skills and develop your practice through visits to the Fashion and Textile Museum – the only UK museum dedicated to showcasing fashion and textiles. Previous students have showcased their work by staging end of year exhibitions hosted at the museum.

As a student at Newham College London, you’ll be entitled to visit the Fashion and Textiles Museum for free!

Entry requirements

You will need to have a Level 1 qualification in Fashion and at least 5 GCSEs grade 9-3, including English language and Math.
