Enrolment is where you officially become a student at Newham College London.

If you’ve applied, attended an interview and receive an offer, you’ll be invited to enrol!

16-18 Exclusive Enrolment

The two dates below are intended for 16-18 enrolments only. Adults (19+)will not be able to enrol on these dates.

Thursday 20 August – 10:00am – 7:00pm – All campuses

Friday 21 August – 9:30am – 6pm – All campuses

Open Enrolment

All ages can enrol on a course from Monday 24 August with the timing below:

Monday to Friday – 9:30am – 4:30pm*

*closed Bank holiday Monday 31 August

*Please note that Adult Enrolment will not take place at NewVIc Sixth Form Centre

Evening Enrolment Service

We will run an evening enrolment service for 16-18s and adults at the campuses & dates below:

Newham College, Stratford campus: Tuesday 25 August to Tuesday 22 September. Campus open 9.30 am until 6.30 pm

Newham College, East Ham campus: Wednesday 26 August to Wednesday 23 September. Campus open 9.30 am until 6.30 pm

Saturday Enrolment

Saturday enrolment will take place at the following campuses on the dates and times listed:

NewVIc Sixth Form Centre: Saturday 22 August, 10 am – 2 pm

Newham College, East Ham campus: Saturday 5 September, 10 am – 2 pm

Newham College, Stratford campus: Saturday 12 September, 10 am – 2 pm

Where can I enrol?

Enrolment for 16-18s will take place at our East Ham, Stratford, and NewVIc Sixth Form campuses on the enrolment dates and times that are listed above.

Adult Enrolment (19+) will take place at our East Ham and Stratford campuses only.

For 16-18-year-olds: Before visiting the college, please call us on 0208 257 4000 to check the availability of spaces on courses currently running for the 2026/27 academic year.

Adults will need to complete an initial assessment so please arrive 1 hour 30 minutes prior to closing time, this should allow enough time to complete the assessment and your enrolment.

Please try to avoid bringing babies and children.

There is No Parking available at any Campus so please use public transport or ensure you check local parking restrictions and pay the correct fee (enrolment can take a few hours).

If you’re aged 16-18, You will need to bring:

Proof of residency (British passport or British Birth Certificate, biometric card, EU settlement documentation if you are European). E – visa and share code for right to stay in the UK.

Exam Results/Qualifications. Evidence must be from the Exam Board (we do not accept letters from your school).

Section 20 Letter If you are Looked After by the Local Authority, which is issued by the Local Authority, please ask your Social Worker.

If you’re aged 19+, without certain documents, we will be unable to enrol you successfully:

Proof of Residency: please bring where applicable – British passport, British birth certificate (if you do not have a passport), EU Settlement letter, residency (biometric) card or ID, or Home Office documents. If your residency status is linked to another person, you will need to bring a marriage certificate and spouse’s visa, parent’s visa and your birth certificate. E – visa and share code for right to stay in the UK. All documents must be original.

Exam results and/or qualification certificates.

Evidence of any means-tested benefits received by you or your household (if applicable). This can include Jobseekers’ Allowance, Employment and Support Allowance (WRAG), Universal Credit, Working Tax Credit, Pension Credit or any other benefits.

Evidence of your employment status if you’re on a low income (less than £28,860.00 (inner London) annual gross), e.g. payslips, P60, tax return (if self-employed).

Evidence of any loan application(s) and/or financial support that has been applied for or approved (if applicable). You can find out more about loans and other financial support options available to our adult learners.

What about fees & financial support?

For learners aged 16-18, all courses are free. Additional financial support is available to cover costs related to attending College. You can discuss this with the Admissions team at enrolment. Learn out more about the finance support options available to you.

If you are aged 19 or older at the beginning of your course, whether you pay tuition fees will depend on your personal circumstances. Please discuss this with the Admissions team at enrolment.
