About the course

This Higher National Certificate in Construction Management is designed for adults who want to develop higher-level knowledge and professional skills for the construction and built environment sector. Entry requirements

  • Qualification profile: GCSE English, maths and science at grade 4/C or above, or equivalent, plus a relevant Level 3 qualification such as BTEC, A Levels or Access to HE.
  • Vocational route: BTEC Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Computing, or a related subject, normally at pass profile set by the college.
  • Adult learner route: relevant work experience, professional qualifications or prior learning may be considered.
  • English language: Acceptable evidence of capability in English includes certified achievement at CEFR B2 or above, including (but not limited to):
    • IELTS (Academic or General Training): overall score 5.5 or above
    • Pearson PTE Academic: overall score 51 or above
    • TOEFL iBT: overall score 72 or above
    • Cambridge English Qualifications: B2 First (FCE) – Pass (Cambridge English Scale 160+)

    or another externally assessed recognised English language qualification explicitly benchmarked to CEFR B2.

  • Interview: you will attend an interview and may complete an assessment to confirm the right level of study.
